Corrective Actions:
Management has started to reinforce the existing policy, which mandates that employees funded by federal grants document the actual time they spend working on those grants. Staff have completed the reconciliation for the current year's actual staff hours spent on programs. Going forward, the City will now prepare and post the 'true-up' reconciliation on a quarterly basis. This change is designed to ensure that quarterly financial reporting of payroll expenses is based on actual hours worked.
