2024-001- Staff Review of Certified Payroll for Prevailing Wage Requirements
Federal Program: ESSER (AL# 84.425U)
Condition: Prevailing wage certified payroll reports provided by contractor and/or subcontractors are required to be reviewed by the school (staff).
Criteria: Documentation evidencing staff's review of certified payroll for prevailing wage requirements is kept and retained for an audit trail to support grant expenditures.
Effect: Noncompliance may affect funding.
Cause: The School did not allocate adequate time to document staff's review of cetiified payroll for prevailing wage requirements.
Recommendations: We recommend the School to review the process and establish procedures to document staff's review of certified payroll for prevailing wage requirements.
Management's Response: The School will review the current process and implement enhanced procedures to ensure staff consistently document their review of certified payrolls, ensuring compliance with prevailing wage requirements.
