AI Summary

  • Answer: The Organization missed the deadline to submit its Single Audit reporting package.
  • Trend: This indicates a potential pattern of non-compliance with federal reporting requirements.
  • List: Follow up by ensuring timely submission of future audits and reviewing compliance processes.

Finding Text

The Organization expended Federal awards in excess of the threshold requiring a Single Audit for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2024. Accordingly, the Organization was required to submit its Single Audit reporting package to the Federal Audit Clearinghouse no later than March 31, 2025. However, the required reporting package was not submitted by the prescribed deadline.

Corrective Action Plan

Management concurs with the finding. The delay in the submission of the Single Audit reporting package resulted from insufficient monitoring of Federal reporting deadlines and a lack of formal procedures to ensure timely completion and submission of required reports. To address this matter, the Organization has implemented procedures to strengthen its compliance monitoring process. Management has designated specific personnel responsible for tracking all Federal reporting requirements and maintaining a compliance calendar that includes key regulatory deadlines. In addition, management will periodically review the status of audit engagements throughout the year to ensure timely completion of the audit and submission of the reporting package to the Federal Audit Clearinghouse and the pass-through entity, when applicable. These corrective measures have been implemented and will be monitored by management on an ongoing basis to ensure future compliance with applicable Federal requirements.
