Finding 1077537 (2023-001)

Condition: The State of Nevada, Department of Transportation (the Department) notified the grantee on July 7, 2023 that it was terminating its Agreements, under Article VII – Termination of the Agreements: Criteria: Article VII – Termination, paragraph 1 states the following: This Agreement may be terminated upon thirty (30) calendar day’s written notice by mutual consent of both parties, or unilaterally by the Department (State of Nevada, Department of Transportation), without cause. Cause: The Department’s July 7, 2023 communication of termination disclosed the following reasons for the Agreement terminations. Effect: As stated in the July 7, 2023 termination letters, no further work was to be performed after August 6, 2023. Context: N/A Recommendation: N/A Questioned Costs: It does not appear that the grantee incurred any costs or submitted any costs for reimbursement after June 30, 2023. Views of Responsible Officials and Planned Corrective Action: Management acknowledges the terminations. The Board of Directors of the Neighbor Network of Northern Nevada determined not to seek an appeal of the Department’s decision. No corrective action was requested, required, or deemed necessary.
