Accounting Policies: Expenditures reported on the Schedule are reported on the accrual basis of accounting. Suchexpenditures are recognized following the cost principles contained in Uniform Guidance and/or OMBCircular A-122 Cost Principles for Non-profit Organizations, wherein certain types of expenditures are notallowable or are limited as to reimbursement.

Rate Explanation: The auditee did not use the de minimis cost rate.
The accompanying Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (the Schedule) includes the federal award activity of Uspiritus, Inc. (Uspiritus). The information in this Schedule is presented in accordance with the requirements of Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance). Because the Schedule presents only a selected portion of the operations of Uspiritus, it is not intended to and does not present the financial position, changes in net assets, or cash flows of Uspiritus. We have audited the financial statements of Uspiritus, Inc. (Uspiritus) as of and for the year ended June30, 2022.

During the fiscal year ended June 30, 2022, Uspiritus received $559,773 in funds from the Provider Relief Fund (Assistance Listing # 93.498), which has been excluded from the Schedule in accordance with guidance provided in the OMBs 2022 Compliance Supplement Addendum published in April 2022.
