Suchexpenditures are recognized following the cost principles contained in 2 CFR 200, Subpart E (CostPrinciples), wherein certain types of expenditures are not allowed or limited as to reimbursement.Boys Republic has elected not to use the 10 percent de minimis indirect cost rate as allowed underthe Uniform Guidance.
For the year ended June 30, 2022, Boys Republic received $11,398 worth of commodities from the California Department of Education (CDE) and are reported under federal assistance listing number 10.555. The fair value of the donated food commodities is determined by subtracting the amount paid by Boys Republic from the market value, as provided by CDE, for each item received. The donated commodities were recorded as program revenue under the nutrition program in the Boys Republic audited financial statements for the year ended June 30, 2022.
