Accounting Policies: The accompanying Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards includes the federal grant activity of Routt County, Colorado, and is presented on the modified accrual basis of accountingfor governmental funds, and the accrual basis for proprietary funds. The information in this schedule is presented in accordancewith the requirements of Title2, U.S. Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards. Therefore, some amounts presented inthis schedule may differfromamounts presented in or used in the preparationof, the basic financial statements.

Rate Explanation: The County uses the 10% de minimis cost rate allowed in Title 2, U.S. Cod eof Federal Regulations (CFR), Part 200.414, Indirect (F&A) costs for some grants, primarily grants through Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. The County also prepares an annual cost allocation plan to allocate indirect costs for other grants.
