Title: Contingency
Accounting Policies: Expenditures reported on the Schedule are reported on the accrual basis of accounting. Such expenditures are recognized following the cost principles contained in the Uniform Guidance and Chapter 10.650, Rules of the Auditor General, wherein certain types of expenditures are not allowable or are limited as to reimbursement.
De Minimis Rate Used: Both
Rate Explanation: Gulf Coast Children's Advocacy Center, Inc. records expenditures of federal awards and state financial assistance using the direct cost method and the 10% de minimis indirect cost rate depending on which is allowable by the grantor, both of which are allowed in accordance with the Uniform Guidance.
The grant revenue amounts received are subject to audit and adjustment. If any expenditures are disallowed by the grantor agencies as a result of such an audit, any claim for reimbursement to the grantor would become a liability of the Organization. In the opinion of management, all grant expenditures are in compliance with the terms of the agreements and applicable federal and state laws and other applicable regulations.
