Title: Relationship to the Financial Statements Accounting Policies: The accompanying Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards includes all Federal grant activity of the Caldwell Parish School Board (the School Board) for the year ended June 30, 2023. The information is presented in accordance with the requirements of Title 22 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Costs Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance). Because the Schedule presents only a selected portion of the operations of the School Board, it is not intended to and does not present the financial position, changes in net assets, or cash flows of the School Board. Expenditures reported on the Schedule are reported on the accrual basis of accounting. Such expenditures are recognized following the cost principles contained in the Uniform Guidance, wherein certain types of expenditures are not allowable or are limited as to reimbursement. Included in the Child Nutrition Cluster National School Lunch Program, ALN 10.555, is $84,809 of non-cash awards in the form of commodities provided by the United States Department of Agriculture. The commodities are noncash revenues and are valued using prices provided by the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry when received.
