Notes to SEFA
Accounting Policies: The schedule of expenditures of federal awards includes the federal grant activity of the County under programs of the federal government for the year ended December 31, 2022, and is presented on the regulatory basis of accounting in accordance with the Kansas Municipal Audit and Accounting Guide. Expenditures include disbursements, accounts payable, and encumbrances. The information in this schedule is presented in accordance with the requirements of Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 200, Uniform Administration Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance). Expenditures reported on the Schedule are reported on the basis of accounting as described in above. Such expenditures are recognized following the cost principles contained in OMB Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200, Subpart E), wherein certain types of expenditures are not allowable or are limited as to reimbursement.
