Accounting Policies: 1. BASIS OF PRESENTATIONThe accompanying schedule of expenditures of federal awards (the Schedule) includes thefederal grant activity of Feeding America Tampa Bay, Inc. (d/b/a Feeding Tampa Bay), the FoodBank, under programs of the federal government for the year ended June 30, 2022. Theinformation in the Schedule is presented in accordance with the requirements of Title 2 U.S. Codeof Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and AuditRequirements for Federal Awards (the Uniform Guidance). Because the Schedule presents only aselected portion of the operations of the Food Bank, it is not intended to, and does not, present thefinancial position, changes in net assets, or cash flows of the Food Bank.2. SUMMARY OF SIGNIFICANT ACCOUNTING POLICIESExpenditures reported on the Schedule are reported on the accrual basis of accounting. Suchexpenditures are recognized following the cost principles contained in the Uniform Guidance,wherein certain types of expenditures are not allowable or are limited as to reimbursement.Pass-through entity identifying numbers are presented where available.3. INDIRECT COST RATEThe Food Bank has elected to charge a de minimis rate of 10% for all federal awards.4. PROGRAM CLUSTERSThe U.S. Office of Management and Budget Compliance Supplement defines a cluster of programsas a grouping of closely related programs that share common compliance requirements. There wasone program that met this criterion for the current fiscal year, Assistance Listing Number10.565/10.568/10.569 Food Distribution Cluster.5. CONTINGENCIESThe programs shown in the Schedule are subject to audit by grantor agencies. If any expendituresor expenses are disallowed by the grantor agencies as a result of such audit, any claim forreimbursement to the grant agencies would become a liability of the Food Bank. In the opinion ofmanagement, all grant expenditures are in compliance with the terms of the grant agreements andapplicable federal laws and regulations.6. SUBRECIPIENTSThe Food Bank provided federal awards to subrecipients during the year ended June 30, 2022. Thetotal of such awards provided to subrecipients is included in the Schedule.
