Title: Basis of presentation Accounting Policies: Expenditures reported on the Schedule are reported on the accrual basis of accounting. Such expenditures arerecognized following the cost principles contained in the Uniform Guidance, wherein certain types ofexpenditures are not allowable or are limited as to reimbursement. Fiddler's Annex, Inc. has elected not to usethe 10-percent de minimis indirect cost rate allowed under the Uniform Guidance. De Minimis Rate Used: N Rate Explanation: The auditee did not use the de minimis cost rate. The accompanying schedule of expenditures of federal awards (the Schedule) includes the federal award activity of Fiddler's Annex, Inc., HUD Project No. 086-IF001, and is presented on the accrual basis of accounting. The information in this schedule is presented in accordance with the requirements of Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance). Because the Schedule presents only a selected portion of the operations of Fiddler's Annex, Inc., it is not intended to and does not present the financial position, changes in net assets, or cash flows of Fiddler's Annex, Inc.

Questioned costs $0 Criteria The Organization is required to make deposits into an escrow account to fund tax and insurance payments for the fiscal year. Condition The Organization?s escrow cash account did not have adequate deposits as of June 30, 2022. Cause The Organization had inadequate cash on hand to fund the escrow account. Effect The Organization may not be able to pay for their taxes and insurance for the upcoming year. Recommendation Management should budget for monthly tax and insurance escrow deposits and request a rent increase to prevent future shortfalls in escrow cash. Views of Management Management concurs.
