This schedule of expenditures of federal awards (the "Schedule") includes the federal award activity of City of Adel, Georgia under programs of the federal government for the year ended September 30, 2024. The information in this Schedule is presented in accordance with the requirements of Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance). Because this Schedule presents only a selected portion of the operations of City of Adel, Georgia, it is not intended to and does not present the financial position, changes in net assets, or cash flows of City of Adel, Georgia.
Expenditures reported on the Schedule are presented on the modified accrual basis of accounting. Such expenditures are recognized following the cost principles contained in the Uniform Guidance, wherein certain types of expenditures are not allowable or are limited as to reimbursement. Negative amounts shown in the Schedule represent adjustments or credits made in the normal course of business to amounts reported as expenditures in prior years.
City of Adel, Georgia has elected not to use the 10-percent de minimis indirect cost rate allowed under the Uniform Guidance.
The balance outstanding of a loan under 10.766 Community Facilities Loans and Grants was $374,518 at September 30, 2024.
During the year ended September 30, 2024, the City included $1,711 of expenditures under Assistance Listing No. 66.442, Water Infrastructure Improvements for the Nation Small and Underserved Communities Emerging Contaminants Grant Program, that were incurred in the prior fiscal year. These expenditures were not previously reported on the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards and have been included in the accompanying Schedule to reflect total Federal awards expended under the program. The inclusion of these prior-year expenditures did not affect the City’s financial statements for the year ended September 30, 2024.
