The accompanying schedule of expenditures of federal awards (the Schedule) includes the federal grant activity of the City of Tavares (the City) under programs of the federal government for the year ended September 30, 2025. The information in this Schedule is presented in accordance with the requirements of Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance). Because the Schedule presents only a selected portion of the operations of the City, it is not intended to and does not present the financial position, changes in net position or cash flows of the City.
The City of Tavares participates in the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) loan program (CFDA No. 66.468), administered by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection as a pass-through from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Proceeds from this program are used to finance eligible drinking water infrastructure improvements within the City. Loan activity for the year ended September 30, 2025 is summarized as follows: DW350981 Loan Balance – $674,763 Loan expenditures $2,377,404 There were no federal loan guarantee programs in effect for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2025.
