Accounting Policies: NOTE 1 -BASIS OF PRESENTATIONThe Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards includes the federal grant activity of Fair Housing Advocates of Northern California and is presented on the accrual basis. The information in this schedule is presented in accordance with the requirements of Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance). The amounts reported in the accompanying Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards agree, in all material respects, to amounts reported within Fair Housing Advocates of Northern Californias financial statements.NOTE 2 -FEDERAL ASSISTANCE LISTING NUMBERSThe Federal assistance listing number included in the accompanying Schedule of Expenditures of Federal and State Awards was determined based on the program name, review of the award contract, and the Office of Management and Budgets Federal assistance listing numbers.NOTE 3 -INDIRECT COSTSFair Housing Advocates of Northern California elected not to use the 10% de minimis cost rate as covered in the Uniform Guidance Part 200.414 Indirect (F&A) Costs.The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development approved the use of the indirect cost rate of 23.48% with an expiration date of December 6, 2025. During the year ended June 30, 2022, the approved indirect rate of 23.48% is charged to each applicable grant on a regular basis.
