Notes to SEFA
The accompanying Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards presents the activity of all federal financial assistance programs of the City of Vestavia Hills, Alabama. All federal financial assistance received directly from federal agencies, as well as federal financial assistance passed through other state and local government agencies, is included in the schedule.
The City had no federally funded insurance and no federally funded loans or loan guarantee for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2025.
During the year ended September 30, 2025, the City did not receive any non-cash federal assistance.
During the year ended September 30, 2025, the City recognized revenue for expenditures incurred in fiscal years 2015-2022 for the Pedestrian Crossover Bridge project (ALN 20.205, ALDOT project #HPP-TAPBH-CMAQ-A104(916)). These expenditures were not included on the SEFA in the year they were incurred since reimbursement was not requested until fiscal year 2025. The SEFA for fiscal year 2025 for this project includes $277,965 related to previously incurred expenditures and $2,745,821 for current year expenditures for a total of $3,023,786.
