For reporting entity purposes, the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards and State Financial Assistance include only the activities of the City of Sanford’s primary government and not the Airport Authority which is presented as a discretely presented component unit.
The accounting policies and presentation of the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards and State Financial Assistance are in accordance with accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America as applicable to governmental organizations. The accompanying schedule of expenditures of federal awards (the "Schedule") includes the federal award activity of City of Sanford under programs of the federal government for the year ended September 30, 2025. The information in this Schedule is presented in accordance with the requirements of Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance). Because the Schedule presents only a selected portion of the operations of City of Sanford, it is not intended to and does not present the financial position, changes in net position/fund balance, or cash flows of City of Sanford.
