The accompanying Schedule includes federal grant activity of the County under programs of the federal government for the year ended June 30, 2025. The information in this schedule is presented in conformity with the requirements of Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Requirements (CFR) Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance). Because the Schedule presents only a selected portion of the operations of the County, it is not intended to and does not present financial position or changes in net position. Expenditures reported in the Schedule are reported on the accrual basis of accounting. Such expenditures are recognized following the cost principles contained in the Uniform Guidance, wherein certain types of expenditures are not allowable or are limited as to reimbursement.
Federal award expenditures are reported in the County's basic financial statements as expenditures in the General Fund and special revenue funds.
Amounts reported in the accompanying Schedule agree with the amounts reported in the related federal financial reports except for timing differences relating to expenditures made subsequent to the filing of the federal financial reports.
The County uses an appropriate actual indirect cost allocation methodology for its federal programs and did not use the 15% de Minimis indirect cost rate as allowed under the Uniform Guidance and covered in 2 CFR Part 200.414.
