Notes to SEFA
The accompanying schedule of expenditures of federal awards and state financial assistance (the Schedule) includes the federal and state grant activity of the Canaveral Port Authority (the Authority), under programs of the federal and state government for the year ended September 30, 2025. The information in the Schedule is presented in accordance with the requirements of Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance) and Chapter 10.550 Rules of the Auditor General. Because the Schedule presents only a selected portion of the operations of the Authority, they are not intended to and do not present the financial position, changes in net position, or cash flows of the Authority.
Expenditures reported on the Schedule are reported on the accrual basis of accounting. Such expenditures are recognized following the cost principles contained in the Uniform Guidance and Chapter 10.550, Rules of the Auditor General, wherein certain types of expenditures are not allowable or are limited as to reimbursement.
The Authority has elected not to use the 10% de minimis indirect cost rate for awards prior to October 1, 2024 nor the 15% de minimis indirect cost rate for awards on or after October 1, 2024 as allowed under the Uniform Guidance.
The Authority did not make subawards of federal awards or state financial assistance during the year ended September 30, 2025.
