SIGNIFICANT ACCOUNTING POLICIESBasis of PresentationThe accompanying Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards represents all Federal awards administered by the PortWashington Union Free School District, under programs of the federal government for the year ended June 30, 2022. Theinformation in this Schedule is presented in accordance with the requirements of Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations Part200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance).Because the Schedule presents only a selected portion of the operations of Port Washington Union Free School District, it is notintended to and does not present the financial position, changes in net assets, or cash flows of Port Washington Union FreeSchool District.Basis of AccountingThe expenditures in the accompanying schedule are presented on an accrual basis of accounting. Such expenditures arerecognized following the cost principles contained in the Uniform Guidance, wherein certain types of expenditures are notallowable or are limited as to reimbursement. In connection with that donation, the recipient must disclose the estimatedvalue of donated PPE, but such amounts are not included in the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards. The SchoolDistrict did not receive any donated PPE during the reporting year. De Minimis Rate Used: N Rate Explanation: The auditee did not use the de minimis cost rate.
