Notes to SEFA
The accompanying schedule of expenditures of federal awards (the Schedule) includes the federal award activity of the Hopkins County School District under programs of the federal government for the year ended June 30, 2025. The information in this Schedule is presented in accordance with the requirements of Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance). Because the Schedule presents only a selected portion of the operations of the Hopkins County School District, it is not intended to and does not present the financial position, changes in net position, or cash flows of the Hopkins County School District.
Noncash assistance is reported in the schedule at the fair market value of the USDA food commodities received and disbursed.
Although reported in the financial statements as direct federal revenue, medicaid reimbursements ($110,902) are not considered expenditures of federal awards for the purposes of this schedule.

Total federal awards per the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards is $13,905,356. Total federal awards per the financial statements is $13,905,356. The breakdown per fund is as follows: Special Revenue Fund - Federal - Indirect and Direct - $9,858,393; General Fund Expense Reimbursement - $0; and Proprietary Fund - Federal and donated commodities - $4,046,963.
