The reporting entity consists of Southern Alabama AHEC. The Organization includes a Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards for the purpose of additional analysis.
Basis of accounting refers to when revenues and expenditures or expenses are recognized in the accounts and reported in the financial statements. Basis of accounting relates to the timing of the measurements made, regardless of the measurement focus. The accrual basis of accounting is followed in the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards. Under the accrual basis, revenues are recognized when they become earned. Expenses generally re recorded when a liability is incurred.
The Organization had no subrecipients during the fiscal year.
The Organization used the 10 percent de minimis indirect cost rate on ALN numbers 93.912 and 90.200. For the remainder of the grants, they used a rate less than the de minimis rate as specified in the grant agreements.
