BASIS OF PRESENTATIONBasis of PresentationThe accompanying schedule of expenditures of federal awards includes the federal grant activity ofBeaufort County, South Carolina (the "County"), and is presented on the modified accrual basis ofaccounting for governmental fund types and the accrual basis of accounting for the proprietary fundtypes. The County reporting entity is defined in Note 1 to the County's basic financial statements.The information in this schedule is presented in accordance with the requirements of Title 2 U.S. Codeof Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and AuditRequirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance). Therefore, some amounts presented in theschedule may differ from amounts presented in, or used in the preparation of, the basic financialstatements.De-Minimis Indirect Cost RateDuring the year ended June 30, 2022, the County did not use the 10% de-Minimis indirect cost rate.Non-Cash AwardsThere were no federal awards expended in the form of noncash assistance during the fiscal year.There were also no loans or loan guarantees outstanding at year-end.
