Notes to SEFA
The accompanying Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (the Schedule) includes the federal award activity of the Food Bank of El Dorado County (Food Bank) under programs of the federal government for the year ended December 31, 2024. The information reported in the Schedule is presented in accordance with the requirements of Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance). As the Schedule presents only a selected portion of the operations of the Food Bank, it is not intended to and does not present the financial position, changes in net assets, or cash flows of the Food Bank.
Expenditures reported in the Schedule are reported on the accrual basis of accounting. Expenditures are recognized according to the cost principles contained in the Uniform Guidance, wherein certain types of expenditures are not allowable or are limited as to reimbursement. The Food Bank has elected not to use the 10% de minimis indirect cost rate allowed under the Uniform Guidance and uses the negotiated contractual cost rate contained in the respective contracts, as applicable.
The Assistance Listing Number (ALN) and the federal program titles listed in the Schedule were obtained from the federal awarding agency or the U.S. General Services Administration’s System for Award Management (SAM), or SAM.gov.
The Food Bank receives food and commodities from federal sources. The food and commodities are reported at the values established by the federal grantor and are restricted for purposes designated by the federal awarding agency.
These Federal programs are subject to financial and compliance audits by grantor agencies which, if instances of material noncompliance are found, may result in disallowed expenditures. The amounts, if any, of expenditures which may be disallowed by the grantor agencies cannot be determined at this time, although the Food Bank expects such amounts, if any, to be immaterial.
