Notes to SEFA
The accompanying schedule of expenditures of federal awards (the Schedule) includes federal award activity of the School District of the City of Monessen (the “School District”) under programs of the federal government for the year ended June 30, 2025. The information in this Schedule is presented in accordance with the requirements of Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance). Because the Schedule presents only a selected portion of the operations of the School District of the City of Monessen, it is not intended to and does not present the financial position, changes in net position, or cash flows of the School District of the City of Monessen.
Federal financial award revenues are included in the financial statements as local source and federal source revenues.
The School District of the City of Monessen received donated commodities from the Department of Agriculture in connection with its food service program. Nonmonetary assistance is reported in the Schedule at the fair market value of the commodities received and disbursed. At June 30, 2025, the District had food commodities totaling $1,081 in inventory.
