This report on Federal Awards includes the federal awards of the Sangamon Mass Transit District. The reporting entity for the Sangamon Mass Transit District is based upon the criteria established by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board.
There was one major program for the year ended June 30, 2025, the Federal Transit Cluster. This grant was awarded by the Federal Transit Administration – U.S. Department of Transportation to the Sangamon Mass Transit District for the purposes of financing capital projects and supporting public transportation services in urbanized areas.
The Federal aid is included in the statement of revenues, expenses and changes in net position as follows: Operating assistance: $4,339,903 Capital assistance: $2,280,741
As of and during the year ended June 30, 2025, the District did not receive any federal insurance or federal loans or loan guarantees. In addition, the District did not pass through any federal awards to sub-recipients.
