Notes to SEFA
The accompanying schedule of expenses of federal awards (the Schedule) includes the federal award activity of The Foundation for Cancer Care in Tanzania (the Foundation) under programs of the federal government for the year ended December 31, 2024. The information in the Schedule is presented in accordance with the requirements of Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance). Because the Schedule presents only a selected portion of the operations of the Foundation, it is not intended to and does not present the financial position or changes in net assets of the Foundation. All pass-through entities listed in the Schedule use the same ALN numbers as the federal grantors to identify these grants and have not assigned any additional identifying numbers.
Expenses reported on the Schedule are reported on the accrual basis of accounting. Such expenses are recognized following the cost principles contained in the Uniform Guidance, wherein certain types of expenses are not allowable or are limited as to reimbursement.
The Foundation has not charged any indirect costs to any of the federal programs. Therefore, the election of the 10 percent de minimis indirect cost rate is not applicable under the Uniform Guidance.
