Notes to SEFA
The accompanying Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (the Schedule) includes the federal grant activity of Sunnyvale Community Services under programs of the federal government for the year ended June 30, 2025. The information in this schedule is presented in accordance with the requirements of Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance). Because the schedule presents only a selected portion of the operations of Sunnyvale Community Services, it is not intended to, and does not, present the financial position, changes in net assets, or cash flows of Sunnyvale Community Services.
Certain funds are passed through to subrecipient organizations by Sunnyvale Community Services. Expenditures incurred by the subrecipients and reimbursed by Sunnyvale Community Services are included in the Schedule. Sunnyvale Community Services is also the subrecipient of federal funds, which are reported as expenditures and listed separately as federal pass-through funds. The subrecipient organization closed their operations in October 2025, thereby ending the agreement with Sunnyvale Community Services.
The balance as of June 30, 2024 of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) loan with the City of Sunnyvale of $900,000 is included in the Schedule. However, at June 30, 2025, the outstanding balance was forgiven by the City of Sunnyvale.
