Notes to SEFA

The District determines eligibility for the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program. Within the WIC program, the District distributes food vouchers to clients and controls unissued food vouchers. The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare issues and redeems food vouchers, controls the food vouchers issued, and reviews program compliance. The value of the food vouchers redeemed through the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare during fiscal year 2022 was $ 868,761, and during fiscal year 2023 was $953,626.
The District provides vaccines free of charge to children 18 years of age or younger. The District determines whether the vaccine recipient is eligible to receive the vaccine under the Federal Immunizations Grant. The vaccine serums are ordered by the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, and delivered to the District as needed. The vaccine serum value supplied by the Idaho Health and Welfare Department in fiscal year 2022 was $45,693 of which $23,062 was federally funded, and during fiscal year 2023 was $13,089 of which $8,835 was federally funded.
