The information on this Schedule is prepared in accordance with the requirements of Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance). Because the Schedule presents only a selected portion of the operations of Marple Newtown School District, it is not intended to and does not present the financial position, changes in net position, or cash flows of Marple Newtown School District.
Expenditures reported on the Schedule are reported on the accrual basis of accounting. Such expenditures are recognized following the cost principles contained in the Uniform Guidance, wherein certain types of expenditures may or may not be allowable or may be limited as to reimbursement.
Marple Newtown School District did not elect to use the de minimis indirect cost rate.
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania distributes federal surplus food to institutions (schools, hospitals, and prisons) and to the needy. Expenditures for USDA Donated Commodities, reported in the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards under CFDA #10.555, National School Lunch Program, represent surplus food consumed by Marple Newtown School District during the year ended June 30, 2025. Non-monetary assistance is reported in the schedule at the fair market value of the commodities received and disbursed.
