The accompanying schedule of expenditures of federal awards includes expenditures related to the direct and indirect federal grants of PDE and is presented on the accrual basis of accounting. The information is presented in accordance with the requirements of the Uniform Guidance.
Federal award expenditures are reported on the statement of activities and change in net assets as program services. Some amounts presented in this schedule may differ from amounts presented in or used in the preparation of the basic financial statements.
The amount expended includes $668,881 claimed as an indirect cost recovery using indirect rates allowed by applicable funding agencies of, 10.00% to 35.47% (the negotiated indirect cost rates) for the year ended December 31, 2024. PDE elected not to use the 10.00% de minimis rate.
Amounts awarded to subrecipients through Assistance Listing Number (ALN) 66.456, National Estuary Program (NEP), during the year ended December 31, 2024 was $253,717. Amounts awarded to subrecipients through ALN 12.630, Basic, Applied, and Advanced Research in Science and Engineering, during the year ended December 31, 2024 was $8,432.
Non-Federal Match - NEP expenditures included in the accompanying schedule of expenditures of federal awards, represent the federal participation (47.87% cost share) of the approved contract expenditures incurred. The non-federal match of the remaining 52.13% was funded by state and local agencies.
