Accounting Policies: The accompanying schedule of expenditures of federal awards includes the federal grant activity of Alabama A&M University ("the University") and is presented on the accrual basis of accounting. The information in this schedule is presented in accordance with the requirements of Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance). De Minimis Rate Used: N Rate Explanation: The University has elected not to use the 10 percent de minimus cost rate allowed under Uniform Guidance. The University operates under predetermined fixed Facilities and Administrative Cost Rates (F&A) which were effective from October 1, 2016 through October 1, 2021 and thereafter until amended. The predetermined fixed rates were based upon 2015 financial information. The provisional fixed rates, begin on October 1, 2023 and are the same as the predetermined fixed rates. For fiscal year September 30, 2024, the based rate for on-campus research was 48% and for off-campus the rate was 26%.
