Title: BASIS OF PRESENTATION Accounting Policies: The Parish Government’s Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards is presented using the accrual basis of accounting, which is described in Note 1 to the Parish Government’s financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2023. Such expenditures are recognized following the cost principles contained in the Uniform Guidance, wherein certain types of expenditures are not allowable or are limited to reimbursement. De Minimis Rate Used: N Rate Explanation: The Parish Government has not elected to use the 10 percent de minims indirect cost as allowed under the Uniform Guidance. The accompanying schedule of expenditures of federal awards includes the federal grant activity of the Parish Government and is presented on the modified accrual basis of accounting. The information in this schedule is presented in accordance with the requirements of the Uniform Guidance, Audits of States, Local Governments, and Non-Profit Organizations. Therefore, some amounts presented in this schedule may differ from amounts presented in, or used in the preparation of, the primary government financial statements.
