Accounting Policies: The accompanying schedule of expenditures of federal awards includes the federal grant activity of the City of Denison, Texas and is presented on the modified accrual basis of accounting. The information in this schedule is presented in accordance with the requirements of the Uniform Guidance. Therefore, some amounts presented in the schedule may differ from amounts presented in, or used in the preparation of, the basic financial statements. The City of Denison, Texas' reporting entity is defined in Note I to the City of Denison, Texas’ basic financial statements. Federal awards received directly from federal agencies as well as federal awards passed through other government agencies are included in the schedule.
