Accounting Policies: Corning Council for Assistance and Information for the Disabled, Inc. and Affiliates (the Council and Affiliates) are not-for-profit organizations. All federal grant operations of the Council and Affiliates are included in the scope of the single audit.
The Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (the Schedule) has been prepared for the period January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2023. This period corresponds with the fiscal year of the Council and Affiliates.
The information in this Schedule is presented in accordance with the requirements of Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance). Therefore, some amounts presented in this schedule may differ from amounts presented in, or used in the preparation of, the consolidated financial statements. Also, because the Schedule presents only a selected portion of the operations of the Council and Affiliates, it is not intended to and does not present the financial position, changes in net assets, or cash flows of the Council and Affiliates.
The accompanying Schedule was prepared on the accrual basis of accounting.
The amounts reported as federal expenditures in the Schedule represent the expenditure of federal funds. The non-federal share of expenditures, if any, is excluded from the Schedule.
Expenditures are recognized following the cost principles contained in the Uniform Guidance, wherein certain types of expenditures are not allowable or are limited as to reimbursement.
