Title: Note 1. Basis of Presentation Accounting Policies: Expenditures reported on the Schedule are reported on the accrual basis of accounting. Such expenditures are recognized following the cost principles contained in the Uniform Guidance, wherein certain types of expenditures are not allowable or are limited as to reimbursement. De Minimis Rate Used: Y Rate Explanation: Catholic Charities elected to utilize the 10% de minimis indirect cost rate during the year ended June 30, 2024. The accompanying schedule of expenditures of federal awards includes the federal award activity of Catholic Charities of Kansas City–St. Joseph, Inc. (Catholic Charities) for the year ended June 30, 2023, and is presented on the accrual basis of accounting. All federal awards received directly from federal agencies, as well as those awards that are passed through other government agencies, are included in the Schedule. The information in this Schedule is presented in accordance with the requirements of the OMB Compliance Supplement and Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance). Therefore, some amounts presented in this schedule may differ from amounts presented in, or used in the preparation of, the financial statements.
