Title: NOTE 1 SINGLE AUDIT REPORTING ENTITY AND BASIS OF ACCOUNTING
Accounting Policies: Expenditures reported on the Schedule are reported on the accrual basis of accounting. Such expenditures are recognized following the cost principles contained in the Uniform Guidance for all awards. Under these principles, certain types of expenditures are not allowable or are limited as to reimbursement. Negative amounts shown on the Schedule represent adjustments or credits made in the normal course of business to amounts reported as expenditures in prior years.

Rate Explanation: Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation did not elect to use the 10 percent de minimis indirect cost rate allowed under uniform guidance
The accompanying Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (SEFA) presents the expenditures of all federal award programs of Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation, Maryland (the Corporation) for the year ended June 30, 2024. The accompanying SEFA has been prepared using the accrual basis of accounting as fully described in the Summary of Significant Accounting Policies accompanying the Corporation’s basic financial statements.

The schedule of expenditures of federal awards presents only a selected portion of the activities of the Corporation. The financial activity for the aforementioned awards is reported in Corporation’s statement of activity. In certain programs, the expenditures reported in the basic financial statements may differ from the expenditures reported in the schedule of expenditures of federal awards due to program expenditures exceeding grant or contract budget limitations which are not reported as expenditures in the schedule of expenditures of federal awards.
