Accounting Policies: The accompanying schedule of expenditures of federal awards includes the federal grant activity of Montana HomeOwnership Network, Inc. dba NeighborWorks Montana (NWMT) and is presented on the accrual basis of accounting. The information in this schedule is presented in accordance with the requirements of Title 2 US Code of Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance). Therefore, some amounts presented in this schedule may differ from amounts presented in, or used in, the preparation of the basic financial statements. Expenditures reported on the schedule of expenditures of federal awards are reported on the accrual basis of accounting. Such expenditures are recognized following the cost principles contained in the Uniform Guidance, wherein certain types of expenditures are not allowable or are limited as to reimbursement.

The Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation, doing business as NeighborWorks America, is a congressionally chartered nonprofit organization that received direct federal appropriations. They have not been issued an Assistance Listing (AL) number for federal appropriations. Public Law number 115.141 was issued for the appropriations awarded for the year ended September 30, 2024.
