Title: Purpose of schedules – Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards Accounting Policies: The accompanying Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards includes the Federal grant activity of the District and is presented on the modified accrual basis of accounting. The information in this schedule is presented in accordance with the requirements of Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance). Therefore, some amounts presented in this schedule may differ from amounts presented in, or used in the preparation of, the financial statements. The following schedule provides reconciliation between revenues reported on the Statement of Revenue, Expenditures, and Changes in Fund Balance, and the related expenditures reported on the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards. The reconciling amounts represent Federal funds that have been recorded as revenues in a prior year that have been expended by June 30, 2024 or Federal funds that have been recorded as revenues in the current year and were not expended by June 30, 2024. The District has not elected to use the 10 percent de minimis indirect cost rate. De Minimis Rate Used: N Rate Explanation: As the agency authorized by the United States Department of Education to approve California kindergarten through grade twelve (K–12) local educational agency (LEA) indirect cost rates, the California Department of Education (CDE) has reviewed the 2023–24 standardized account code structure (SACS) expenditure data and has finalized the approved indirect cost rates. The rates are for use, as allowable, with 2023-24 federal and state programs. As such the district may not use the de minimis rate.
