Title: BASIS OF PRESENTATION Accounting Policies: The accompanying schedules of expenditures of federal awards include the federal award activity of The Chicago Lighthouse for People Who Are Blind or Visually Impaired and Chicago Lighthouse Industries (collectively, “The Lighthouse”) and is presented on the accrual basis of accounting. The information in this schedule is presented in accordance with the requirements of Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance). Therefore, some amounts presented in these schedules may differ from amounts presented in or used in the preparation of the basic consolidated financial statements. De Minimis Rate Used: Y Rate Explanation: The Lighthouse did elect to use the option of the 10% de minimis indirect cost rate.
