Title: (2) Donated Food Assistance ‐ National School Lunch Program Accounting Policies: The Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards represents the amounts expended from Federal Programs during the 2023‐2024 fiscal year as determined based on the modified accrual basis of accounting. The amounts reported on the Schedule have been reconciled to and are in material agreement with amounts recorded in the District’s accounting records from which the basic financial statements have been reported. De Minimis Rate Used: N Rate Explanation: The District did not elect to utilize the 10% de minimis indirect cost rate. Includes $ 13,380,413 of USDA‐donated foods used during the 2023‐24 fiscal year. Commodities are valued at fair value as determined at the time of donation.

If any expenditures are disallowed by the grantor agencies as a result of such an audit any claim for reimbursement to the grantor agencies would become a liability of the District. In the opinion of management, all grant expenditures are in compliance with the terms of the grant agreement and applicable federal and state laws and regulations

Following a Presidential declaration of a major disaster or emergency, FEMA (CFDA 97.036) awards grants to assist affected entities with the response to and recovery from such disasters or emergencies. In fiscal year 2024 FEMA approved $760,720 for reimbursement of FEMA payments.
