Title: Noncash Federal Awards Accounting Policies: The accompanying schedule of expenditures of federal awards (the "Schedule") includes the federal grant activity of Arapahoe County School District Number Six (the "School District") and is presented on the modified accrual basis of accounting. The information in the Schedule is presented in accordance with the requirements of 2 CFR Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (the "Uniform Guidance"). Arapahoe County School District Number Six granted $141,939 in FY 2023 2024 to component units, and actual component unit expenditures of $141,939 are reported in the schedule of expenditures of federal awards for the year ended June 30, 2024, as those were expenditures incurred by the component units during the year. Some amounts presented in the Schedule may differ from amounts presented in, or used in the presentation of, the basic financial statements. Because the Schedule presents only a selected portion of the operations of the School District, it is not intended to and does not present the financial position or changes in net position of the School District. Expenditures reported on the Schedule are reported on the same basis of accounting as the basic financial statements. Such expenditures are recognized following the cost principles contained in the Uniform Guidance for all awards. Under these principles, certain types of expenditures are not allowable or are limited as to reimbursement. The School District has elected not to use the 10 percent de minimis indirect cost rate, as allowed under the Uniform Guidance. De Minimis Rate Used: N Rate Explanation: The School District has elected not to use the 10 percent de minimis indirect cost rate, as allowed under the Uniform Guidance. Commodities donated to the School District by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) of $322,765 are valued based on the USDA's Donated Commodity Price List. These are shown as part of the National School Lunch Program (10.555).
