Accounting Policies: Note A Basis of PresentationThe accompanying schedule of expenditures of federal awards (the Schedule) includes the federal award activity of The Public Health Foundation (the Foundation) under programs of the federal government for the year ended June 30, 2022. The information in this Schedule is presented in accordance with the requirements of Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance). Compliance testing of all general requirements, as described in the OMBs Compliance Supplement, was performed. Compliance testing of specific requirements was performed for the major federal program listed below. Because the Schedule presents only a selected portion of the operations of The Public Health Foundation, it is not intended to and does not present the financial position, changes in net assets, or cash flows of The Public Health Foundation.MAJOR PROGRAMDepartment of Health and Human Services Centers for Disease Control & PreventionCFDA # 93.421 Strengthening Public Health SystemsThis program will strengthen the nations public health infrastructure, ensure a competent, current and connected public health system, and improve delivery of essential services through capacity building assistance. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Centers for Disease Control & Prevention administers the program.Note B Summary of Significant Accounting Policies(1)Expenditures reported on the Schedule are reported on the accrual basis of accounting. Such expenditures are recognized following the cost principles contained in the Uniform Guidance, wherein certain types of expenditures are not allowable or are limited as to reimbursement.(2)The Public Health Foundation utilizes an approved indirect cost rate as opposed to the 10 percent de minimis indirect cost rate allowed under the Uniform Guidance.
