Accounting Policies: 1. Basis of PresentationThe accompanying schedule of expenditures of federal awards (the Schedule) includes the federal grantactivity of the Unified School District No. 434, Scranton, Kansas (the District) under programs of thefederal government for the year ended June 30, 2022. The information in the Schedule is presented inaccordance with the requirements of Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations Part 200, UniformAdministrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (UniformGuidance). Therefore, some amounts presented in the Schedule may differ from amounts presented in,or used in the preparation of, the financial statement. Because the Schedule presents only a selectedportion of the operations of the District, it is not intended to and does not present the financial positionof the District.2. Summary of Significant Accounting PoliciesExpenditures reported on the Schedule are reported on the regulatory basis of accounting, as describedin Note 1 to the Districts financial statement.
