Title: NOTE 1 BASIS OF PRESENTATION
Accounting Policies: Expenditures reported on the Schedule are reported on the accrual basis of accounting.
Such expenditures are recognized following the cost principles contained in the Uniform
Guidance for all awards with the exception of Assistance Listing 21.019, which follows
criteria determined by the Department of Treasury for allowability of costs. Under these
principles, certain types of expenditures are not allowable or are limited as to
reimbursement. Negative amounts shown on the Schedule represent adjustments or credits
made in the normal course of business to amounts reported as expenditures in prior years.

Rate Explanation: AAWDC has not elected to use the 10 percent de-minimis indirect cost rate as allowed
under the Uniform Guidance.
The accompanying schedule of expenditures of federal awards (the Schedule) includes the
federal grant activity of Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corporation (AAWDC) during
the year ended June 30, 2024. The information in this Schedule is presented in accordance
with the Audit Requirements for Federal Awards under Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal
Regulations (CFR) Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles and
Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance).

AAWDC’s statement of activity. In certain programs, the expenditures reported in the basic
financial statements may differ from the expenditures reported in the schedule of
expenditures of federal awards due to program expenditures exceeding grant or contract
budget limitations which are not reported as expenditures in the schedule of expenditures of
federal awards.
