Title: Basis of Presentation
Accounting Policies: Expenditures reports on the Schedule of Federal Awards are reported on the accrual basis of accounting. Such expenditures are recognized following the cost principles contained in the Uniform Guidance where in certain types of expenditures are not allowable or are limited as to reimbursement. Expenditures respresent only the federally funded portions of the program.

Rate Explanation: The YMCA of Birmingham, Inc. did not elect to charge a de minimis rate of 10% for all federal awards
The accompanying schedule of expenditures of federal awards (the Schedule) includes the federal grant activity of the Young Men's Christian Association of Birmingham, Inc. (the Association) and is presented on the accrual basis of accounting. The information in this schedule is presented in accordance with the requirements of Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards. Therefore, some amounts presented in this schedule may differ from amounts presented in or used in the preparation of the financial statements. Because the Schedule presents only a selected portion of the operations of the Associaiton, it is not intended to and does not present the financial position, changes in financial position or cash flows of the Association
