Accounting Policies: The accompanying Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (the Schedule) presents the activity of federal award programs administered by Glens Falls Independent Living Center, Inc. operating as Southern Adirondack Independent Living Center (SAIL) for the period, October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022, which corresponds with the fiscal year of the entity. SAIL is a non-profit organization. All federal grant operations of SAIL are included in the scope of the audit. The information in this schedule is presented in accordance with the requirements of Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance). Because the Schedule presents only a selected portion of the operations of SAIL, it is not intended to and does not present the financial position, changes in net assets, or cash flows of SAIL. Expenditures reported on the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards are reported on the accrual basis of accounting. Such expenditures are recognized following the cost principles contained in the Uniform Guidance, wherein certain types of expenditures are not allowable or are limited as to reimbursement. The amounts reported as federal expenditures in the Schedule represent the expenditure of federal funds. The non-federal share of expenditures, if any, is excluded from the Schedule. De Minimis Rate Used: N Rate Explanation: SAIL has elected not to use the 10-percent de minimis indirect cost rate allowed under the Uniform Guidance.
