Rate Explanation: The Vashon Island School District #402 has not elected to use the 10-percent de minimis indirect cost rate allowed under the Uniform Guidance. The Vashon Island School District #402 used the federal restricted rate of 0.0449 and the federal unrestricted rate of 0.2171.
The Vashon Island School District #402 operates a “schoolwide program” in one elementary building. Using federal funding, schoolwide programs are designed to upgrade an entire educational program within a school for all students, rather than limit services to certain targeted students. The following federal program amounts were expended by the Vashon Island School District #402 in its schoolwide program: Title I (84.010) $132,974.32 and $12,572.96 from Title IV as allowed.

This amount is reflected in the expenditures of Title II, Part A Supporting Effective Instruction State
Grants (84.367).

The District received funding from the FCC to support the purchase of eligible equipment for staff and students to meet the learning needs for connected devices. The FCC providing the funding directly to the vendor.
