Accounting Policies: Reporting Entity:The Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (the Schedule) includes the activity of all federal award programs administered by Flat Branch Volunteer Fire Department (the Organization ) for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2022.Basis of Presentation:The Schedule presents total federal awards expended for the Assistance to Firefighters Grant in accordance with the Uniform Guidance. Federal award program titles are reported as presented in the Federal Assistance Listing (formerly the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance). The Schedule includes the federal award activity of the Organization under programs of the federal government for the year ended June 30, 2022. The information in this Schedule is presented in accordance with the requirements of Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance). Because the Schedule presents only a selected portion of the operations of the Organization, it is not intended to and does not present the financial position, changes in net assets, or cash flows of the Organization. Basis of Accounting:The expenditures for each of the federal award programs are presented in the Schedule on an accrual basis of accounting. The accrual basis of accounting incorporates an estimation approach to determine the amount of expenditures incurred if not yet billed by a vendor.
