Title: GENERAL INFORMATION
Accounting Policies: The accompanying schedule of expenditures of federal awards and state financial assistance is presented using the basis of accounting as described in Note B of NJCIE's financial statements. Such expenditures are recognized following the cost principles contained in the Uniform Guidance, wherein certain types of expenditures are not allowed or are limited as to reimbursement.
De Minimis Rate Used: N
Rate Explanation: NJCIE has not elected to use the 10% de minimis indirect cost rate as allowed under the Uniform Guidance.
The accompanying schedule of expenditures of federal awards and state financial assistance present the activities in all the federal and state award programs of New Jersey Coalition for Inclusive Education ("NJCIE"). All financial awards received directly from federal and state agencies, as well as financial awards passed through other governmental agencies or non-profit organizations, are included on the schedule. Information in this schedule is presented in accordance with the requirements of Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance) and The State of New Jersey OMB Circular 15-08-OMB. Because the schedule presents only a selected portion of the operations of NJCIE, it is not intended to, and does not present the financial position, changes in net assets or cash flows of NJCIE.

NJCIE has received federal funding through the U.S. Small Business Administration through Direct Loan Programs. At the beginning of the year, the loan balance was $150,000 plus accrued interest of $4,177. During the year ended June 30, 2022, the EIDL agreement was modified, increasing the loan amount by $350,000. The balance of loan programs outstanding as of June 30, 2022 is $517,927, including accrued interest of $17,927.
